Guidelines for Submission
We
sincerely appreciate your willingness to give to KLA through your conference
participation. Thank you.
When
filling out the proposal form, you will be asked to indicate the type of session
you wish to present--a paper, panel discussion, business meeting, reception,
etc. We will ask you for a brief description of the program and a more detailed
abstract which will assist committee planners with their review.
If you
can give us an estimate of how many people you expect to attend your business
meeting or meal event then please indicate that number on the proposal form.
If you
would like to have a meal event, please be aware that your group or sponsor will
be responsible for all meal-related costs. Menu choices depend upon the assigned
room so those choices will be available to you only after the proposal has been
accepted.
The
Kansas Library Association covers the per-item costs of providing quality
Audio/visual equipment and connections at the conference so we appreciate your
careful consideration of AV needs. The AV company with which KLA contracts will
provide a laptop in all rooms requiring internet access for presentations.
Please feel free to use this laptop; it will be pre-tested, configured, and
ready to use. A podium, table, and extension cords will be available for your
use as well.
And if
you have a need for a particular room arrangement then please indicate that
configuration on the form. An explanation of the different room sets will come
up as you pass the curser over each option.
Once
again we will arrange the conference schedule according to tracks. If
applicable, please select a track that you feel best suites your presentation.
