KLA-CULS Fall Conference
October 14 - 15, 2010
Emporia State University, Memorial Union
"Originate, Create, Renovate, and Innovate:
Leading Revolution in the Academic Library"
Program | Presentations & Handouts
Just like the song in the Gatorade commercial states, “If you want a revolution, the only solution – evolve.” Academic librarians are poised more than ever now to lead, revolutionize and evolve for our changing clienteles!
Along those lines, the KLA-CULS Fall Conference is also changing this year. We are offering an intensive one-day conference on Friday, October 15, with a range of Pecha Kucha sessions, presentations and workshops dedicated to your professional development needs. We are also presenting a pre conference the afternoon of Thursday, October 14, featuring Jonathan Morris of the KU Public Management Center speaking about leadership in the academic library.
Pre conference
The topic of this year’s CULS pre conference is leadership in academic libraries. Jonathan Morris from the KU Public Management Center will deliver an engaging session highlighting theory, application, and practical strategies for leadership in the academic environment. Our presenter attended K-State University and Bethany College. He did his graduate work in New York. He offers experience from the public and private sectors.
The pre conference will be held on Thursday, October 14th. The pre conference registration fee is $10 prior to October 4th. Registration for the CULS conference is not required for pre conference attendance.
Want to build upon your idea? Publish your presentation in open access peer-reviewed conference proceedings via New Prairie Press! This is a new venture for KLA-CULS, and we are very excited about YOUR contributions to scholarly communications. Please indicate on the form whether or not you plan to write a paper based upon your Pecha Kucha session or traditional session.
