Local Tours
Interested in RFID? Basehor Community Library's got it! Take a tour to see how this technology is used to check out multiple items at the same time and check in items as they are returned. Basehor Community Library is currently the only public library in Kansas to utilize Radio Frequency Identification technology. Using 3M self-check and SmartChute machines that read RFID tags, multiple items can be checked out at the same time and items are automatically checked in as they slide through a return chute with a reader. BCL staff will conduct a tour of their beautiful building and demonstrate this technology to the curious. Not a program, no room reservation needed - just a reminder of a local affairs activity we may want to pursue.
